Trackem Pty Ltd is delighted to announce that it has been named the winner of the ‘2015 Western Australian Innovator of the Year Awards’.

The awards - an initiative of the Department of Commerce, recognises the success of innovative ideas and celebrates the initiative of entrepreneurial individuals.

The program features two categories: Emerging Innovation and Growth. Trackem was a finalist in the Growth category.

The Mitsubishi Corporation WA Innovator the Year overall winner is chosen from these two categories.

Held at the State Reception Centre in Kings Park, the award ceremony was attended by notable guests including Governor Kerry Sanderson and Professor Fiona Wood.

The Innovator of the Year program is targeted to address market problems and realise opportunities of importance to Western Australia.

Kashif Saleem, Track’ems CEO and Founder said: “We are delighted to win this award. It is truly humbling considering the caliber of the other innovations and technologies that were in the running.

By winning the Innovator of the Year award, we hope Trackem can gain exposure and recognition in terms of the value maximization and waste minimizing effects it can provide to businesses and the economy as a whole”.

Trackem won the award against other notable innovators including Bombora Wave Power Pty Ltd and Proteomics International Pty Ltd.

At the 14th annual My Business Awards in Sydney last week Track’em was awarded the My Business Award in the ‘Best use of Technology’ category. The award was received by Track’em’s Operations Manager Hiren Patel.

Track’em is proud to be chosen as the company that could ‘best show how technology improves its business efficiency while delighting customers’.

My Business Awards is Australia’s leading – and only – annual business awards program dedicated to the SME sector. Track’em was proud to be the only WA based company to win an award and be nominated in the above category.

Winners from the night were congratulated for their ‘incredible contribution to the Australian community’.

Kashif Saleem Nominated for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Trackem Pty Ltd (previously Saleem Technologies) is proud to announce that it's CEO Kashif Saleem has been chosen as a nominee for the Western Region in the Ernest and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program.

Considered one of the world’s most prestigious awards, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards is held in over 145 cities across 60 countries.

As the first and only truly global award of its kind, Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses, recognising them through regional, national and global awards programs.

Launched in Australia in 2001, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program has recognised over 1,200 Australian entrepreneurs for their vision and achievement. Globally, the program has acknowledged around 50,000 entrepreneurs over the past 26 years.

Saleem Technologies was selected to implement their web-based, GPS, Barcode and/or RFID materials tracking system, Track’em®, for the duration of the project. Samsung C&T Corporation will use Track’em® to manage all their material giving them full visibility and absolute control. Track’em® combines a unique patented system of integrated solutions designed to make project management more efficient.

Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction Group has proven expertise for engineering, procurement, and construction for 35 years with projects including the erection of two of the world’s most famous skyscrapers – Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia and Burj Khalifa in Dubai. They are committed to becoming the world’s no. 1 contractor with constant pursuit of growth and excellent leadership.
Situated approximately 115 kilometres north of Newman, the Roy Hill Project lies on flat plains close to the Chichester Range.

The 55 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) project is the next iron ore mining, rail & port project to be developed in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is a world-class, low phosphorus, iron ore deposit located in the Pilbara – one of the world’s premier iron ore provinces – and the only independent iron ore project with West Australian majority ownership.

The Roy Hill Project has a defined mineralisation to sustain a mine life of more than 20 years, the project is expected to export its first ore late in 2015.
